Accomodation at “Au Paradis des Cigales”
The two apartments – “Les Cigales “ and “L’Oliveraie” - have been created from an original stone ‘cave viticole’, built in 1897 and used for the production of wine. In fact, the building next door still fulfils that traditional function. Situated in a small vine filled valley you will only be disturbed by the sounds of nature in this beautiful Mediterranean countryside. Each apartment has its own driveway and secluded garden. High quality garden furniture is available for your use, as is the dedicated swimming pool, and barbecues for outdoor dining. Inside, each is furnished to an excellent standard: kitchens are fully equipped and include dishwashers, washing machines, fridge freezers; The living rooms have telephones, satellite television, DVD/video players and CD player.
Les Cigales
“Les Cigales” occupies the ground floor of the cave. It is approached from the terrace shaded by ancient olive trees. The large living room is nicely furnished in a Provencal style and has several French windows opening onto the terrace, making it very airy and easy for summer living. The kitchen is well equipped and again has a door out onto the second/dining terrace. There is a fireplace and electric heating for the colder seasons. In all there are three bedrooms; a double and twin, both are ensuite, while the other double has the use of a separate family bathroom. There is a separate lavatory, in addition to those in the ensuites. The apartment very comfortably accommodates six people. Outside, the garden has wonderful views across the vines and is very peaceful. There is a swimming pool dedicated for the use of your party.
L’Oliveraie
This apartment occupies the whole of the upper floor of the building. The 100 sq metre open plan living room has a very airy feel to it, with high ceilings, beams and white walls. The style is rather colonial and this is reflected in the furnishings. There is a monumental wood burning stove and electric heating for the colder seasons. The beautifully tiled kitchen is in the form of a bar and is well equipped. There are three ensuite bedrooms, two double and one twin, leading from the main living room, each with pleasant views looking over the surrounding countryside. Outside, a large terrace overlooks the pool, and there are great views to the west. The apartment is furnished to a high standard, accommodating a maximum of six people.
General information
All accommodation is available on a weekly basis from Saturday (arrival 4.00 pm) to Saturday (departure 10.00 am). Electricity, linen and towels are included, though we do not provide beach towels. A security deposit is required, details of which are on the booking form. Any charges for damage or heavy cleaning will be deducted from the deposit, though we reserve the right to request more in certain circumstances. If you require extra cleaning midweek please mention this in the comments section of the reservation form.
